Hello! My name is Michael Houston and I’m the owner and operator of Mythx Sound Design.

Mythx is based in Boston, MA, but my business utilizes a variety of remote service tools that allow me to work with businesses and individuals globally.

With over 15 years of experience, my expertise is primarily in sound design & editing as well as mixing and recording. Over the years, I have worked on a variety of film and advertising jobs. This experience from working with various forms of media and projects has helped to develop my versatility in this business.

Whenever I’m not working on Mythx-related projects, I enjoy composing music for my personal endeavors. When I’m not behind my desk, you’ll likely catch me hanging out with my dogs, ‘Sir Didymus the Brave’ (or ‘Diddy’ for short) and ‘Hoggle’ (both named after characters from one of my favorite films, Labyrinth), indulging my novice 'foodie' dreams or out n’ about on adventures with my amazing Husband.

Mythx is my baby and I am so proud to share my skills and business with the world. My ultimate goal is for every client to receive a high quality product and have fun throughout the process.
